We are looking for someone that has their Master's Degree in Nursing, is an experienced clinician and has current knowledge of best practices in evidence-based nursing practice. You will be working very closely with the Nursing Practice Council, Informatics nurses, nursing leadership and physicians to set/meet our KPIs and build/improve our Professional Nursing Practice Policies. This is a key role and will support both hospitals in Centralia and Mt. Vernon. Preferred qualifications/certifications are CNS, AONL or IONL.

Working within a collaborative and interprofessional environment, in conjunction with the regional CNO, operationalizes the system and regional vision for evidence-based nursing practice in delivery of safe, timely, efficient, equitable and patient-centered care, influences improvement of the patient experience of care (including quality and satisfaction), improves the health of populations, and reduces the per-capita cost of health care.

• Partners with the regional CNO to establish priorities and short/long-term goals for clinical nursing practice and policy across the region and care continuum and evaluates outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Serves as a subject matter expert and leads the development of evidence-based or best practice standards to achieve standardization, reduce unwarranted variation, and enable provision of high quality, high value, person-centered care across the continuum of care.
• Collaborates with nursing informaticists to develop/assess, implement, and continuously improve clinical nursing informatics and technology that enables advancement of clinical nursing practices and outcomes and with education leaders to provide evidence-based perspective on training and educational programs.
• Partners with Supply Chain leadership to implement product and equipment standardization that meets clinician and patient care needs and effectively manages cost. Serve as the point person (or identifies a delegate) for product/equipment evaluation in their region.
• Facilitates the implementation, evaluation and enculturation of the SSM Health Professional Practice Model, through partnership with clinical education for professional development and by mentoring nursing leaders and clinical nurses in their growth as practice experts and leaders.
• Participates in compliance with accreditation, regulatory and patient safety efforts, with a focus on ensuring consistent professional practice environments and outcomes to achieve Magnet or Pathways to Excellence standards and established NDNQI goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree and graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Ten years’ experience, with five years’ in leadership
