Job Description:

The Foster Care Liaison ensures regional staff are compliant with mandates for visitation, monitoring, and agency vehicles are maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.
• Schedules all case assistants and ensures visits are covered on a weekly basis.
• Reads and approves all case aide notes.
• Schedules all vehicles for case aides and case managers.
• Schedules and takes all vehicles for maintenance.
• Acts as liaison between case managers, case aides, and service providers to ensure that all transportation needs are met (i.e. parenting, therapy, sib visits).
• Fills in for any visits that cannot be completed by the case aide staff for whatever reason.
• Rearranges the scheduled vehicle usage, (visits) to maximize the vehicles usage.
• Approves and monitors time cards and overtime to ensure we have minimal overtime.
• Completes mileage sheets, vouchers with receipts, and other appropriate forms within timeline.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Licensing staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Masters Degree in Social Work or related field, DCFS Child Welfare License and two years experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write reports that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics.
