Job Description:

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling during office hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm) and including chamber events at night or during the weekend. The primary focus of this job is to help with office tasks as assigned, especially during the Centralia Balloon Fest season (May through August).

The Office Assistant will be responsible for:
• Organizing event registrations and correspondence.
• Updating and/or creating chamber records and information.
• Assembling monthly newsletters and member mailings.
• Providing light janitorial duties when needed.
• Performing receptionist duties when needed.
• Coordinating with the Executive Assistant and the Executive Director to meet the needs of daily Chamber operations.

Job Requirements:

Requirements:
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills and able to work on more than one project at a time.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Publisher.
• Working knowledge of fax machine, copier, telephone systems, and other office equipment.
• Previous office experience (preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
